According to an official IBPS notification from the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection, the exam pattern for IBPS recruitment will be changed, 2015 onwards. This new pattern will be followed from CWE – V for IBPS Clerk and IBPS PO /MT.

IBPS Exam Pattern Changed: IBPS Clerk Syllabus remains unchanged, no change in IBPS PO Syllabus 2015 too.
Also topics for preparing like GK, Quant, Reasoning, Computer, English and Banking Awareness for IBPS 2015 etc remain the same.
The organization has also released a tentative schedule for the Common Written Examination. Hence, candidates can prepare accordingly. It is advised that all banking aspirants must boost their preparations and work hard on their weaknesses, so that they can steer clear through the online examination. The new system will make things a little difficult as there will be two stages of testing the knowledge of candidates, but hard work will definitely be rewarded.
Get Banking Awareness for IBPS 2015
As per this IBPS notification, these changes have been made only in IBPS Clerk and IBPS PO /MT exams for the twenty seven Public Sector Banks in India. Though, there is no official notice regarding the number of vacancies, yet, according to trends observed in previous years, the following range of positions may possibly fall vacant in PSB’s across the country.
- Probationary Officers: Twenty thousand to Twenty – five thousand (20,000 to 25,000)
- Clerical positions: Twenty – five thousand to Thirty thousand (25,000 – 30,000)
- Specialist Officers: Four thousand to Five thousand (4,000 – 5,000)
The specialist officers include :
1. Scale I: IT Officers, Agricultural Field Officers, Law Officers, Marketing Officers, Human Resource (HR) or Personnel Officers and Rajbhasha Adhikaris
2. Scale II: Chartered Accountants, Law Officers, IT Officers and Finance Executives
IBPS recruitment for Public Sector Banks (PSB’s) – Clerks and Probationary Officers (PO)
IBPS 2015 exam pattern changed: IBPS PO Syllabus 2015 and IBPS Clerk Syllabus 2015
IBPS Exams for recruitment of Clerks and Probationary Officers (PO) or Management Trainees will now be a two – tier competition. It has been decided that CWE – V onwards, there will be a Preliminary examination, followed by the Main examination. According to the performance of candidates in the preliminary examination, only a limited number of candidates will be allowed to take the main examination. Then the qualifying candidates will finally appear for the personal interview.
The number of questions in the preliminary examination will be fewer and accordingly, the time duration allotted for the completion of the test will also be shorter. Additionally, it has also been notified, that the scores obtained by candidates in the preliminary IBPS exams will not be considered while preparation of the final merit list. Only the scores obtained by candidates in the main examination will be considered while short listing competent applicants for the personal interview round.
Detailed information regarding both the Preliminary as well as the Main IBPS exams will be given in the official notification issued by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection, inviting aspirants to register for the Common Written Examination.

The CWE SPL – V pattern has not been changed for Specialist Officer Exam 2015. But, the tentative dates for the same have been notified by IBPS.

Regional Rural Bank (RRB) recruitment
CWE RRB pattern for 2015 also remains the same. CWE RRB – IV for recruitment of Office Assistants, as well as the Scale I, II and III Officers will be a single exam.

No change in syllabus for IBPS Exams:
Registration for IBPS 2015 will be by online mode only. Also, candidates who qualify in the Preliminary exam will not have to register again for Main exam. Also, application fee payment options are only online methods, so, candidates must make necessary arrangements for the same.
Though the pattern for IBPS Clerk and IBPS PO has been changed, the syllabus for IBPS CWE Clerk and IBPS CWE PO/MT and IBPS Regional Rural Bank Exam Syllabus is also the same as no change also the has been notified in the syllabus. In fact, tentative dates have been issued and candidates can hence, prepare accordingly. So, instead of panicking about the changed examination pattern for IBPS 2015, candidates should strategize and prepare well for the examination.
