There has recently been a lot of buzz regarding the latest change in the recruitment process of IBPS RRB. The government, after being bombarded with questions from the general public, RRBs and the NABARD regarding the shortcomings in the recruitment process has decided to let The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection, or the IBPS to handle all direct recruitments for RRBs in different posts. Also the conduct of interviews and declaration of results is in control of IBPS.
IBPS RRB Changes: Age Limit Raised to 30
With the control of recruitment given to the IBPS, the age limit for IBPS RRB for the post of Officer Scale I has been increased to 30 years. Earlier, the age limit for IBPS RRB Officer Scale I was 28 years but now it has been increased by 2 years.
Check out the following piece of news:
“IBPS will now handle all direct recruitment for RRBs in different posts / scales including the conduct of interviews and issue of final result. “So as to ensure fair selection process, the interview Boards have now been made independent of the bank management and would be decided by IBPS in consultation with NABARD,”
This has been done to ensure that the selection process in Regional Rural Bank is carried out in a fair manner. Also, the candidates will now indicate their choices for the RRBs and the local language proficiency would be checked at the time of interview.
Apart from this there is good news for the candidates who have proficiency in the local language but have not studied it till class tenth. In the recent changes, such candidates who have not studied the local language till class 10th but still have proficiency in it can now apply for the post of Office Assistant and Officer Scale-I in RRBs.
