RRB’s are Rural Regional Banks started in India with the main purpose to make banking facilities available in the rural areas. Banking is a concept usually related to the urban areas in India but the whole scenario in India is slowly changing with the prominent roles of RRB’s. Initially, there were 83 such banks but now, there are only 57, after the amalgamation of these banks that took place in 2012.
