The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has declared IBPS Provisional Allotment under the CWE Clerk-IV. The allotment is for 2015-16 as per state and category for the clerical staff. The results can be checked at the IBPS website. The allotment has been done by IBPS keeping in mind the vacancies in the participating banks as well as the merit and preference of the candidate.
There are various tests organized by IBPS. These include exams for the clerks, Probationary Officers (PO), and other banking staff. The candidates must first qualify for the written examination. These include questions on mathematics, general awareness, computer awareness, English language, and reasoning. The candidates must go through 200 questions within a stipulated 2 hours time to answer the questions. Finally, the minimum cut-off marks is calculated to draw out the list. The examination was already held in 2014 and subsequently, group discussions and interview were organized for the candidates.
Who are in the IBPS Provisional Allotment List
The recruitment firm has some parameters to draw up the Provisional allotment list. These are as follows:
- When drawing up the merit list, the candidate under the reserved category and the general category has been kept the same. However, when allotted to an organization, the category is considered.
- When two candidates get the same score, those who are older get a preference. In case, the candidate does not fulfill all the eligibility criteria, the enrollment is forfeited.

Role of Participating Banks in IBPS Provisional Allotment
The participating banks have a role in provisional allotment. For instance, after the provisional allotment has been declared, the participating banks help in the appointment and recruitment. The result for this allotment will be posted till June 01, 2015. However, organizations have the right for issuing an appointment, specifying the joining date, notifying terms and conditions, etc.
The banks have the right to hire candidates from a reserve list. This list has 10 percent of the vacancies under each category. It does not however, guarantee recruitment or allotment for all the candidates in this list.
While the list of the provisional allotment will be till the month of June, the Reserve list will be expires by March 2016. During the recruitment process, no correspondence will be entertained from the candidate.
What to do next if you are not Alloted in the Provisional List?
The candidates who are still in the provisional list but have not been still allotted will not be considered for further correspondence. The decision by IBPS regarding provisional allotment of the organization is final.
However, even though the candidates have to go with the allotment done by the IBPS, the participating banks have a role in selecting the candidates. There may be options where they may alter the appointment status and process.
