1. What are the posts available under this recruitment?
Ans.There are two levels of posts available in this recruitment process – Group-“A”-Officers (Scale-I, II & III) and Group “B” Office Assistants (Multi-purpose). Group “A” posts can be considered as correspondent to Probationary Officer and Office Assistants can be considered as correspondent to a Clerk in PSU Banks.
2. What is the date of the exam?
Ans.Online examination for both the groups of officers is typically held in the month of September on the 5th, 6th, 12th ,13th, 19th 20th, 26th and 27th of September, 2015.

3. When will the result be declared?
Ans.Results for the IBPS RRB exam are typically affirmed around the month of October 2015.
4. How many vacancies will be there?
Ans.It is not fixed as the number of vacancies depends upon the participating banks.
5. What is the mode of examination? Online or offline?
Ans.The Common Written Exam for RRBs will be conducted in online mode.
6. Is it possible for a candidate to apply for both the posts – Officers and Office Assistants?
Ans.Yes, a candidate can apply for the Post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and can also apply for the Post of Officer. Nevertheless, a candidate can apply for only one post in officer’s cadre i.e. If a candidate is applying for Officer Scale-I, then he cannot apply for officer scale-II or officer scale-III. However, Candidates have to apply separately and also the fee has to be paid separately for each post applied for (Separate form and fees for Office Assistant and Officer Cadre).
7. What is the age criterion to apply in this common written exam?
Ans.The age criteria to apply for the common written test as on 01-07-2015 are as follows:
For Officer Scale- III – Above 21 years – Below 40 years
For Officer Scale- II – Above 21 years – Below 32 years
For Officer Scale- I – Above 18 years – Below 30 years
For Office Assistant (Multipurpose) – Between 18 years and 28 years
(Category relaxation is applicable)
8. What is the educational qualification required for various posts in this recruitment process?
Ans.Office Assistant (Multipurpose) : A graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent.
Officer Scale-I: A graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent
Officer Scale-II: A graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
Officer Scale-III : A graduation Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
9. What is the application Fee?
Ans.The Application fee is Rs. 100/- for SC/ST/PWD candidates However it is Rs. 600/- for all other candidates. It should be noted that a person applying for both posts has to pay separately for each post.
10. Is there any need to know the local language to apply from a state?
Ans.Yes, in fact the candidates for Officer Scale I and Office Assistants –(Multipurpose) are required to possess expertise in the local language of the State or union territory for which he/she wishes to apply.
11. When will the registration begin?
Ans.The Registration for IBPS RRBs typically starts from the month of July.
